Last week, my jazz trio had the pleasure of performing at a Cornell event held at the Treman Center, and it was an experience to remember. As someone who lives just eight minutes away, I had been eager to visit the venue, especially after hearing so much about it from a mutual friend of the owner, Leslie. Despite its proximity, the Treman Center’s secluded location off a side road made it feel like a hidden gem.

Upon arrival, I was immediately struck by the venue’s beauty and the way it seamlessly blends with its natural surroundings. We played during the cocktail hour in the charming courtyard, where guests mingled and enjoyed the serene atmosphere. Inside, the main building offered a cozy and inviting space for the event. Guests enjoyed refreshments in the lobby area, while upstairs, a multi-function room hosted an awards ceremony. One of my favorite spots was the inner sanctuary, a walled-in area with a pond and climbing vines, where I found a moment of peace to enjoy my dinner away from the hustle and bustle.

The evening concluded with guests gathering around the impressive fire pit, surrounded by trails that lead into the wooded area. The entire venue, with its historic charm and modern amenities, created a unique and memorable experience for everyone in attendance.
